Hailey woke up at 6:50 this morning and the first thing she said to me was, "did you know that I am going to Kindergarten today?" She was so excited she could barely handle it. (Last night we had a kindergarten party, which included pizza, a movie, nails and toes painted, and root beer floats.) When it was our turn at the gate the lady looked at her name tag and told her where to go. Then she ran off, didn't even say good-bye to us. I said "Hailey can I have a hug?" so she ran back and gave me one. Then next thing I knew she was over with her teacher.(defintely not sad to leave us) I looked down at Cara and she was crying, she was so sad her sissy was leaving. I did good I didn't even cry, well not until we drove away. My baby is in Kindergarten and her mommy misses her already!

Hailey lost her first tooth on December 16th. It was almost
bedtime (and it was really loose) I told her that it would
probably come out the next day. She looked at me and said,
"Mom just pull it out". So I did and she was so excited.

Hailey got two dollars from the tooth fairy and
was so happy. And even happier when her
second tooth fell out a week later. (total bed head)

themed party. We had a lot of family and friends

The girls were so excited for halloween this year. Cara loves dogs and when she saw the costume she got so excited. Hailey knew for awhile that she wanted to be Jasmin. Between trunk or treat at the church and trick or treating on halloween they got like three bag fulls each.

Hailey and I were on tv last week and I got in trouble with some people for not telling them. We were on the show The Doctors. I have a friend that works for the show and asked if we wanted to be on. We went to Bryce's Grandpa's house again to spend some time with him. He is just so sweet and Hailey just thinks that he is great. It is so cute. He asked the girls if they wanted a ice cream cone and they were so excited! (He eats vanilla ice cream like almost everyday) Cara looks like she doesn't want sit too close to him. But she was a little shy at first, but she opened up and played with him. He played with the girls and they had so much fun. I can't wait to show these pictures to the girls someday so they can see how great he is.

we could visit. He was so excited that we went to church with

Manning family reunion

We had a great time at the reunion, it was so nice seeing family that we don't get to see that often. We went to a really pretty park and spent the day and had so much fun. They had a lot of great activites and some yummy food. Hailey loved spending time with all the kids she doesn't see much. They had a pinata (I swear Cara got the most candy) and some fun games. It was a great day!!

We also went to Bryce's Aunts house and had dinner and celbrated Bryce's Grandma's 80th birthday. Hailey made her a princess necklace that said "Grandma Great" on it. She loved it and put it right on. She is so sweet.

Our drive to Utah

We went to Utah for a family reunion, and I was absolutely

dreading the drive. It was a long drive with two kids,

a very long drive. But we survived , as these pictures

will show anything to entertain ourselves.

Hailey was taking pictures of me with my phone. When

I say pictures I mean at least 100. I look dumb, but like

I said anything to entertain my two kids.

Cara found the COKE ZERO (it is in caps because it helped

us get through the drive :) ) she wanted it so bad that she

was screaming bloody murder. Can you really blame her??

Hailey just learned how to curl her tongue, I guess in a

10 hour drive you can learn to do just about anything.

Hailey's swim lessons

Hailey was really excited to start swim lessons this summer,

and told me that she was going to learn to swim good so she didn't

have to use her tube anymore. The first day she cried because

she got water in her nose, and she kept saying that she needed

to go to the bathroom. On the second day it completely changed,

she did so good and was so brave. Her teacher couldn't believe

the improvement Hailey made during the two weeks.

Since her lesson she has been swimming without

her tube and doing so good.

Father's Day

A few days ago I told the girls to come eat their breakfast. Fruit loops (what a good Mom I am, so nutirtious). Cara came over with her baby and when I turned around there she was putting her baby in her highchair. She was so excited. So I gave Cara her cereal and she put it on the tray and started to feed it to her baby doll. She even made sounds when she put the spoon to the baby's mouth. After she did that she put the spoon in her mouth and ate it. (Then she smiled, so cute.) These are the moments that I love being a Mom!

Last Saturday was Moms day at Hailey's preschool.

It was so much fun. We played together, made crafts,

ate a snack, read books and even danced. In circle time,

her teacher asked everyone what their favorite thing

was that their Moms made for them. Being the great cook

that I am, I couldn't wait to hear what Hailey had to say.

"I like when my Mommy makes me fruit snacks."

It was so funny! Thanks Hailey for a great day.

My Birthday

On my birthday I woke up to this, it was the

cutest thing. Hailey came into my room and

said Happy Birthday Mom. She is such a sweetie.

My good friends had a birthday brunch for me,

it was so fun (and yummy).

Hailey picked out earrings for me and was
so excited for me to put them on. I opened them
and she said, "Take out those earrings and put mine
on Mommy." Oh she is so adorable.

This birthday was a little bit hard for me, but it

Hailey was so excited to celebrate her birthday at school. She got to bring the snack (which she got to pick out by herself), she brought chocolate pudding and oreo cookies. I was going to bring juice and Hailey told me that we had to bring milk because all of her friends like to dip their cookies in milk. How can you say no to that, I feel the same way. She was so excited when all of her friends in class sang Happy Birthday to her, she had the biggest smile on her face.

The other day we were driving in the car and Hailey said something out of nowhere that was so funny to me. She said , "I can't wait to be a mommy so I can drink Diet Coke." I could not stop laughing. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. It is good that she thinks she can't have it till she is a mommy. But it is obviously a bad thing that she knows I drink a lot of Diet Coke. If she only knew how much I needed it some days. But I guess she will get it when she is a mommy.

I went to wake up Cara one day and found this. When I put her down I forgot to put her pants on, I just love how the diaper is just sitting there right next to her. I know Christmas was a few weeks ago but I am not as on top of this blog thing as most people. Anyways the McKell family had a great Christmas and I had to put these pictures on my blog. Hailey was so excited for this Christmas and couldn't wait for Santa to bring her presents. She knew exactly what she wanted Santa to bring her. She told me everyday, she would see tv toy commercials and say "Santa's going to bring that to me mommy".

Preschool Tree Trimming party

At Hailey's preschool they had a tree trimming party, which Hailey was so excited to go to. The kids made ornaments to put on the Christmas trees that are at the school. Hailey was so scared of Santa last year that we told her that he was coming to the party weeks before, so she could get used to the idea. When he walked in the room she was so excited and couldn't stand still waiting in line to sit on his lap. When Santa asked her what she wanted she said without even thinking Barbie and the Diamond Castle. After the kids saw Santa they sang Christmas songs for us and it was so cute.

Hailey's preschool had a tricycle rodeo for a fundraiser. The kids got donations by getting people to pledge money for every lap that they did. They had 12 minutes to do as many laps as they could on their tricycles. Hailey was so excited, she was riding her bike around the house before we left. When it was her turn she was smiling from ear to ear. She rode so fast I could not even believe it. She never stopped, kids were falling and stopping and Hailey would just go around them. Every lap that she passed us she would wave and it was so cute. When the whistle went off and it was over I had to go and stop her because she wanted to keep going. Well the pep talk her Dad had with her paid off, Hailey did the most laps in her class (and out of all the 3 year olds). In 12 minutes Hailey did 34 laps. She even got a prize! It was so fun, when we got home she asked me when she got to do it again. I can't wait till next year.

Preschool field trip to the pumpkin patch

Hailey's preschool had a field trip and they went to the pumpkin patch. Since I am a room mom I got to go too. On the way to the pumpkin patch I told her that I was coming with her and she wasn't too happy with that. I told her that some other kids mom's were coming too. She was okay with the idea after that, but she did tell me to stay back and let her be by herself with her friends. I tried to not take that personally and stayed back and talked to the other moms. She paid a little attention to me so I was happy. It was a lot of fun. Hailey loves her teacher, she was always wanting to hold her hand when they walked around. They had baby chicks, goats and pigs that they could pet. They had a hay ride and of course she sat next to her teacher. Right before it was time to go everyone got to pick out a pumpkin to take home. It was a great field trip and fun day.

Cara loves to get into everything!! I was doing something for a few minutes and I came back and saw this. I just had to take a picture. Notice that she is on her tip toes so she can see in the top drawer. (I had just cleaned up the kitchen during her nap, then she woke up and destroyed it)

We went to Sea World again and had a great time. It was the perfect time to go it was perfect weather and they had Halloween decorations up and trick or treating.

I love this picture of two of them, they just look so cute and happy!

On Great Papa's Farm

While we were in Utah we went to Bryce's Grandpa's farm. He is 90 years old and still goes everyday to feed the cows. Hailey was so excited to go and see all of the animals and she even helpedfeed the horses and cows. He had a huge tractor which she thought was the coolest thing, they took a picture in front of it and she had the biggest smile on her face. When we were leaving he picked Hailey a sunflower, it was the cutest thing I have ever seen. Hailey asked him if she could go back to his house in his car. He said yes and then looked at me and said I will go slow . I just laughed and thought how fast could someone that is 90 really go?

We went up to Utah for Bryce's Grandpa's 90th birthday party. He was so excited for his party, like a little kid, he couldn't stop smiling the entire time. He picked the food that was going to be served for lunch, and wanted his grandkids to sing a song and his great grand kids to sing I am a child of God. He had the biggest smile on his face during that song, it was so sweet. After the song was over I told Hailey to go and give him a hug, she walked over to him hugged him and said I love you Great Papa. He was so happy, he told everyone what she did.

Pool Fun

The girls love going in the pool and would stay in all day if they could. Cara gets so excited when she gets in and she kicks her legs and screams. Hailey's uncle gave her some goggles and she was so excited to wear them, she didn't want to take them off all day. (even when she was out of the pool)

San Diego here we come

Hailey had such a fun time at Sea World with all of her cousins. We went to all of the shows (they haven't changed in 15 years) and Hailey wouldn't sit in the seats where she would get wet. The next day we went to the zoo and we had a great time. We took a lot of silly pictures and got a lot of stares from people walking by.

I love taking pictures of my girls. Hailey is three years old and Cara just turned nine months.Of course I think that they are just so cute. They are young and they already know how to pose, I am in trouble.

Hailey took swim lessons this summer for a month and absolutely loved them. Last summer she was scared of the water and thanks to the lessons she isn't afraid and she is actually fearless now. Every friday they got to jump off of the diving board, and she was so proud of herself.
